Alpaca Walks

                                                              Terms and Conditions



  • All walks are supervised/led by a suitably trained and experienced person. Visitors are not permitted to take the alpacas unaccompanied or leave the group with their alpaca.

  • Walks include a safety briefing prior to commencement.  Anyone not adhering to the information provided in the briefing may be asked to leave the walk without compensation.

  • There will be a maximum of 4 alpacas per walk.  Your walk is private to your booked group.

  • Alpacas are social animals and like to walk in groups. All bookings must include 2 alpacas one of which can be led by a member of our team should you choose to book alone.

  • All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18 years +)

  • Children under the age of 12 must share an alpaca with an adult.

  • Hand washing facilities are provided.

  • Visitors must dress appropriately.  Please wear sturdy closed toe shoes.  Sandals are not suitable. Farm fields form part of the walk so may be muddy.  We will still walk in light rain so please bring waterproofs if necessary.

  • The walks do take place on the farm and there can be mud.  Please bear this in mind as shoes can get dirty and we will not be held responsible for compensating this or any damage to clothing.

  • Cancellations made up to 48 hours of your booking will be offered to reschedule.  Cancellations made within 48 hours of your booking will not be subject to a refund.  Cancellations MUST be made in writing to

  • Gift vouchers must be redeemed by the date shown.

  • Walks are weather dependent and if the weather is unsuitable for walking we reserve the right to cancel the walk and offer an alternative date suitable to you.  We can not give refunds for circumstances out of our control.

  • A risk assessment has been undertaken for the walking route and is available on request.

  • Please arrive 5 minutes before your walk is due to take place.

  • Group bookings are possible with a maximum group size of 10 people so that we don’t overwhelm the alpacas.  This would be based on sharing 5 alpacas between your group.

  • During the walk we may ask if we can take photographs that will be published to our social media profiles or website, please let us know if you do not want your photo taken and published.

  • Data protection: at Windle House Farm we take your privacy seriously.  We will only use your personal information and contact details in order to complete the booking process and to keep you informed of any updates and offers relating to the farm.  Your personal details will not be used for any other purpose or passed on to a third party.  Payments can be made via our secure online payment processor Paypal, bank transfer or any additional payments on site can be made by card with customer present using Sumup.
